This blog documents the conception, germination and launch of the non-profit organisation called “The African Commons Project” in Johannesburg starting in January, 2006. It is written by the 3 founding directors: Heather Ford, Kerryn McKay and Andrew Rens - the South African Creative Commons team with a crazy idea to grow the African digital information commons in the African Century.
